Young Religious Unitarian Universalists
YRUU

The Young Religious Unitarian Universalists, or YRUU, is for high-school-aged young adults. The goup, which operates from the model of youth empowerment, meets at least three or four times monthly on Sundays at 6 p.m. at the UUC Meeting House. The YRUU explore UU values in relation to topics that the youth find pertinent. Emphasis is on community building and service, leadership development, worship, fellowship, and social activities. Guidance is provided by adult youth advisors who may use UU curricula for teens as part of the program. Policies and other similar matters are set by the Youth Adult committee (YAC) and approved by the Executive Board.

The YRUU has traditionally led one or two Congregational service during the year. They have also provided community services and support for Congregational events.
