You have served in may roles and capacities: as President, as a member of the first search committee, as chair of the canvass, as a leader of several small groups. You have been a member of our choir and helped to organize our special music program. You have taken on work of creating a structure for our committees and for ensuring that committees function. You helped to organize mens groups and our covenant groups. Most recently you were instrumental in moving this congregation through the Welcoming Congregation program. You have served as a delegate to General Assembly and district meetings. You have shared your talents with SUSSI and with the wider community. Your commitment to this congregation and to our liberal faith has been a gift to all of us here today and to those who are yet to come. You served as our Administrative Assistant, our pianist, and as a leader in many groups. You have been a leader in bringing Womens spirituality to this congregation through programs like Cakes for the Queen of Heaven and Rise Up and Call Her Name, and for years you kept the WomanSpirit group alive and active. You have spoken courageously in our congregation and the larger world on behalf of GLBT people and you too have encouraged this congregation to go through the UUA Welcoming Congregation Program. In our early years, you shared flowers from your garden making us aware of the importance of color and beauty in our worship space. You have been a member of the choir since it began and been a vital part of the special music offerings. You are quick to sense anothers need and to offer a hug, or to bring food and a helping hand to someone in need. You have served as a delegate to General Assembly and district meetings, you have been a leader at WomanSprit gatherings at The Mountain and shared your talents and energy with SUUSI and the wider community. Your commitment to this congregation and to our liberal faith has been a gift to all of us here today and to those who are yet to come.
