Get Involved

Be Seen on Sundays:

• Help with the Worship Service.
• Clean up after the Second Sunday potluck.
• Attend Sunday Circle discussions.
• Help prepare coffee for after services.
• Sing in the choir.
• Be a greeter.

Be a Social Butterfly:

• Attend a potluck for newcomers.
• Have lunch with the Women’s Lunch Group.
• Start your week off with the Women’s Breakfast Group or Men's Breakfast Group.
• Get active with the Young Adults Group.
• Attend the annual auction.

Show your Interest:

• Join the EarthSpirit Sisters for the next full moon ritual.
• Attend SUUSI.
• Join our Sages group to learn about issues we face as we age.
• Attend the weekly Conversations on Our Faith discussions based on relevant books.
• Join the Grounds Committee and help keep our grounds beautiful. Contact administrator@uucnrv.org for more information.

Help with Children and Youth:

• Teach a Religious Education class.
• Become a Youth Group advisor.
• Chaperone a Youth Group activity.
• Train as a facilitator for OWL classes.
• Be a Coming of Age mentor.
• Help with Advent Garden.
• Participate in RE-sponsored Social Action projects.

Take a class:

• Attend a Newcomer Orientation class or an Introduction to UUism class.
• Teach or attend an Adult RE class.
• Stretch yourself in a weekly free Yoga class.
• Relax with a weekly meditation session.

Help Others:

• Join the Community Services Team.
• Volunteer at the Interfaith Food Pantry. 
• Join the Caring Network.
• Become a Lay Pastoral Care Minister.

Ultimate Involvement:

• Become a member of UUC.
• Learn how our Congregation works by viewing the UUC Governance Booklet (approved at the March 2013 Board meeting). See the many ways that volunteers help make our Congregation work. Find a committee that interests you.
